Description

The film is light on story and has a very small cast with a minuscule budget that took a number of years to complete with filming starting in 1995.

Fukuzawa started his script in 1995, but after struggling to finance both production and post-production, he was not able to complete the film until 2009.Little White Lies was established in 2005 as a bi-monthly print magazine committed to championing great movies and the talented people who make them. That changes when they open up the doors to supernatural torment when a distracted Jane accidentally runs a woman over while driving home from a friend’s wedding. Based on Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman’s 2010 stage play of the same name, Ghost Stories is an anthology of sorts that handily succeeds at giving you goosebumps. Those who are into a more polished and professional standard of horror movie will do best to avoid this one.

The shaky claustrophobic POV camerawork, the dismemberment aftermath twitching gag, the big push-in and "groovy! this movie lives up to it's reputation of being a whack-o derivative piece of gonzo film making, all in a span of 62 minutes. I started with the big slasher franchises then worked my way through other genre classics before seeking out increasingly obscure titles — a journey that continues to this day.Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell" ist im Mediabook bei Midori Impuls erschienen und beinhaltet den Film uncut auf DVD. I’ve learned that the most effective way to deal with pesky hauntings is to get absolutely jacked and beat the shit out of the ghosts.

Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell’s other effects range from a nicely done scene where a knife goes in the back of a head and emerges through an eye socket, a headless corpse that won’t stay dead and lots of primitive stop motion/Claymation meltdowns and, in another highlight a build up as a mass of disembodied flesh and blood reunites itself with its skeleton.

lassen den Film qualitativ nicht an Spannung, Raffinesse und effekttechnischer Weiterentwicklung gewinnen. Mika is a photojournalist putting together an article on the paranormal, and she remembers a photo that Naoto had once shown her of a house with an outsized female face smiling in its window. That proves especially true in the current digital age, where there’s an overwhelming sea of options spread across multiple streaming services and platforms that can make finding the scariest offerings tricky. Gory, campy, atmospheric, and funny, the film is nonstop excitement because it runs only a few minutes over an hour. The movie makes me smile every time I see a homage scene to Evil Dead 2 and how deadpan the characters look when they see how crazy stuff happen but not one time that I think it just a cash-in on the Evil Dead name because the movie doesn't force the slapstick comedy down your throat so when it needs to be tongue in cheek it works and when it needs to be creepy the movie can legit make your heart jump with the distorted Image of the ghost and the old VHS look of the movie.

It was released independently in Japan in 2012, and then a slightly altered version (indeed, the ‘complete edition’ found on this DVD release) enjoyed a brief theatrical release in 2014, followed by the official Japanese DVD.Clocking in at a mere 62 minutes it's a short affair, which is just as well as the majority of the movie is set inside a single room of a small cramped house. While the spectral encounters bring the frights, Pulse has a way of wielding its existential horror that cuts straight to the bone. Definitely not for everyone, but would probably make a great double bill with another super low budget film, like Soft For Digging - both have really cool low budget effects to show the supernatural, even if both are tonally quite different. While the film was just recently released, it was actually filmed way back in 1995, so that genuine grainy old school look really IS genuine, as are the classic mix of cheesy and cool practical effects. The movie’s original name, a mouthful though it may be, is equally beguiling: Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell.
